Hi I'm Emily

I'm a wife, a reader, I love playing games and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a loving home with wonderful parents and siblings. I have been married for four years to my best friend. I currently substitute teach with the local public school system. I work with the young women, ages 12-18, in my ward. My favorite things to do when I have free time is read books. I love reading and learning.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the religion to be true. I have felt the Spirit testify this to me many times in many different ways.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by personally reading my scriptures and praying everyday. I strive to follow the counsel of staying out of debt and building an emergency food storage with other essentials. I do my best to go to the temple once a month with my husband to perform ordiances in behalf of our ancestors who did not have the chance while they lived. I work hard with the youth in our Ward, particuarly the girls, teaching them the gospel and being an example. I love watching them grow and hearing their victories. I'm working towards being more charitable and showing greater kindness to others. I live my faith by trying to be more like Jesus Christ and I do that by learning more about His life and His sacrifice for all of us.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Mormon Temples are used to teach their members. Temples also are special places where special ordinances are performed neccessary for exaltation. Since so many people have passed away without the oppurtunity to hear about Jesus Christ or learn about His plan, these ordinances are performed in our ancestors' behalf. Show more Show less
