Hi I'm Lisa

I'm a mother of 5 beautiful children. I love traveling, hiking, quad-riding & blogging. I'm a real estate agent. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 4 children and was born and raised in Arizona. I went to College at ASU and got a masters degree in Elementary Education. I met my husband my first sememster of college and we were married in the temple and continued working our way through school. I graduated and taught first grade until our first child was born. I now love being a mother of 5 young children, they are my love and my life. I am also a Realtor and enjoy helping others buy and sell their home. We have lived in several different homes in our married life but finally built our own home and plan to settle down for a long time and raise our children. I love to travel especially to other countries. We lived in Europe for 6 months with 3 of our young children and it was so fun to see other cultures and beautiful places. We have also been to parts of Asia and Costa Rica. Our family loves to travel to our cabin in Utah and we enjoy hiking and being outdoors. We also enjoy having foreign exchange students live in our home. We spend a lot of time with our extended family since they live close. I also enjoy hiking, riding quads, playing volleyball and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised in the Mormon Church. My great great great grandfather was Parley P. Pratt one of the first mormon's when Joseph Smith restored the gospel to the earth. I love the gospel and it is part of my everyday life. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me just as he does everyone on this earth. When I was 8 I chose to be baptized a member of the church. As I grew into my teenage years I had to choose good friends that would help me live up to my standards. I was challenged to read the Book of Mormon in 30 days and I did it! This is when I gained my testimony of this wonderful book. I gained my own testimony little by little as I had experiences of the truthfulness of the gospel. I know that our Heavenly Father knows us and loves us so much. I know He hears and answers our prayers. I know the Book of Mormon is true and it was written for our day. I know Jesus Christ suffered and died for our sins and we can repent and be forgiven and live with Him someday. I know that our family can be together for eternity if we are faithful to the covenants we have made in the temple. I love the good news the gospel brings!

How I live my faith

I love going to church each Sunday, it is a spiritual feast and the best 3 hours of my week! It gives me strength to face the challenges in the upcoming week. I love our ward and have many friends there who are like family. I serve a group of 8 year old girls who I have come to my house twice a month to work on goals and learn new things. I also enjoy visiting teaching with my companion to three different sisters who I learn from and have become good freinds with. We strive to have personal and family prayers morning and night, personal and family scripture study daily, and family home evening weekly. I want to teach my children to choose the right and hope they will gain their own testimony and desire to get married in the temple and go on missions.
