Hi I'm Sam

I am the 13th of 15 children, newly married to the love of my life, and a college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married the girl of my dreams on August 27, 2011. We have been studying up at BYU-Idaho together. I graduate in April 2013 as a financial economics major and will then be working as a financial analyst. I was raised in California and grew up loving to surf. I'll play just about any sport, but there is nothing quite like heading off to the beach to go surfing with a few friends. When I was 19, I left home to serve as a missionary for two years for the in Buenos AIres, Argentina. There I learned Spanish and a whole lot more. I learned how to love others for what they are and what they may become. I really loved my experience there and how it taught me to find joy in serving.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a LDS family and honestly I never really questioned too seriously whether I should continue as a member of the church or not. There certainly have been times of stress where I wondered if it would be worth it, but over time I came to know for myself that the church is true. No flashy life-changing experience, just the accumulation of sweet moments that taught me that this was right.

How I live my faith

I try to focus on the big picture, what's really important too me. Often times I have worried too much about school or work or other trivial things. Sure those things are important, but they pale in comparison to my family and my desire to help others feel the love there is for them.
