Hi I'm Donna Perkins

I am a native of Mesa, AZ. and have lived here most of my life. I attended junior and senior high school in Utah and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a widow and a mother of 4 children who are all married and have families of their own. I have been a member of the church all my life but didn't gain a testimony of the gospel until about 22 years ago when I prepared our family to be sealed in the temple. I have never been without my temple recommend since. I try to go often to feel of the spirit that is there. I worked for Mesa Public Schools for 13 years and had just retired in May of 2010. I love to travel so having the summers off was perfect for me and my family. My family is my greatest joy, I now have 10 (working on the 11th) grandchildren and spending time with them in all their many activities is what I look forward to doing. Watching them in sports, talent shows, dance performances or just taking them out to eat or to the movies makes life enjoyable.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I continue in my faith because I have gained a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. I know that happiness comes from making right choices and the principles of the gospel give us a guideline to making right choices.

How I live my faith

I try to attend my church meetings every week. I pray often to my Heavenly Father and read my scriptures daily. I attend the temple at least once a month and work hard at fulfilling my church callings. I am always an example, good or bad, to my children and grandchildren, so I try to be a good one by living the way my Heavenly Father wants me to.
