Hi I'm Tyler

I'm a Mormon. I've been on a mission to Honduras. I enjoy activities with my friends and family. I strive to do what's right.

About Me

I am served a mission in Honduras and am very very proud of that. I enjoyed it thouroughly and helped me to understand how much I love the gospel. I'm currently trying to get into college to go into the medical field although I am unsure of what to pick. I like sports that are fun for little groups such as mini golf, tennis, and especially laser tag (I do consider them all sports). I am an eagle scout thanks to the love and support of my leaders and parents. Reading is a wonderful thing by the way. However, I'm not big on writing (as you might notice the stream of thought "About Me" section you are reading). Tellilng others about myself is not my favorite nor my strong point.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church and have wanted to go on a mission since I was a kid. I didn't really strive for excellence before my mission, I just kind of floated along, doing fairly nice things every once in a while. However, the miracle of a mission has absolutely changed me. I have seen divine kindness from humans and helped with the conversion of a few souls in Honduras. I understand why those things that the Prophet has always spoken of are so important now. I feel the truth of the scriptures, I rejoice in learning of new things in the gospel. I can't leave this church. I won't.

How I live my faith

As of now, I try to go about doing good. Whether it's holding the door for people or telling that really stressed out laser tag worker that she's doing a great job, I try to brighten people's day. I work with the missionaries at the time being and I am branching out to my ward family to look for opportunites to serve. While it may be difficult with tight schedules or so many distractions, I always try to stay on top of little things like personal prayer and scripture study as well. Those are the things that keep us more than just "afloat".

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

It brings us closer to our Heavenly Father, His Son, and understanding in His plan for us. We become more receptive to the guiding voice of the Holy Ghost. A blessing that is a personal favorite is that it enlarges our memory Alma 378 and convinces us of our errors, making us much more ready to repent, thus drawing us even closer to Heavenly Father.
