Hi I'm Chet J Wall

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in West Jordan Utah, and now live with my beautiful wife Kristy, and 4 children in Washington Utah.

About Me

I am the father of 4 kids. My wife and I love to spend time with our kids. We love to travel as a family and meet new people. Our favorite places to visit are Hawaii, and Europe. Because we lived in Switzerland when we were first married, Geneva is our favorite city in Europe. I am a partner of a mortgage business that has branches around the United States. I love business and investing. I have completed my undergraduate and graduate degrees in business. I love to golf, ski (both water and snow), wake board, and play baseball. I especially love to play sports with my kids. Our favorite sport is golf and we love to hit balls on the range whenever we can. Besides sports, I also enjoy photography.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church by parents who taught me the gospel. At an early age I can distinctly remember praying to know whether the Book of Mormon was true. To this day I can remember the powerful experience I had as a young boy as I prayed that evening. I began to cry and felt this overwhelming feeling that Joseph Smith indeed saw God the Father and Jesus Christ. As a youth I also gained a strong testimony of the powerful effects of reading the book of Mormon. I felt protected in times of trial as I read the Book of Mormon each day. These experiences helped prepare me for my mission. I served in Budapest, Hungary. It was during this 24 months that I witnessed miracles first hand as I was an instrument in the Lord's hand's bringing people to this gospel. I witnessed lives change and the Lord pour out his love to the people of Hungary that had previously not been allowed to preach the gospel. As I testified of the divinity of the restoration of the gospel, I witnessed people who had stated at one time they were atheist, become converted and gain a testimony that they were children of God and there was a plan that would lead them to eternal happiness. En Valoban tudom, hogy az Egyhaz igaz! Joseph Smith meglatta Istent es Jesus Krisztust. A Mormon Konyve az igaz! I have had countless experiences in my life that testify this is the true church and that the atonement of Jesus Christ is for everyone. God loves all his children and wants us all to be happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to adhere to the commandments that we read about in the scriptures. I serve in a leadership calling in the church that is responsible for the membership, financial and calling records. I enjoy this calling as it affords me the opportunity to see how the church works. There is truly order in all things in the church and it is great to be a part of. My wife also serves in the church and spends countless hours preparing lessons, writing newsletters and visiting families, both members and non-members. It is a great joy to watch my wife take our four kids around our neighborhood handing out newsletters to both members and non-members. At work I strive to be a missionary to my employees by sharing my thoughts and feelings of the church. The Book of Mormon has blessed my life tremendously, and I want others to feel the same joy I feel when I read it. By constantly striving to be a missionary, I am reminded of my ultimate goal of returning back to my Heavenly Father and Savior, being able to be considered a true disciple of Christ. At home, we read our scriptures daily as a family and pray both morning, before meals, and at night. On Monday's we hold family nights, where we share stories, play games and always have a desert. The kids love this time, and although these times are not always quiet, they are fun because we are together as a family.
