Hi I'm Jill

I was born and raised in Arizona. I've had a great life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to my sweetheart. We celebrated our 40th anniversary this year. I am the mother of 4 children and now 11 grandchildren! Words cannot say how wonderful and important they are to me. After my children were older I started teaching school. I taught kindergarten for 11 years. It was so fun to help little children and watch them learn. One of my hobbies is quilting. I love the creative part of designing them and then the manual part of making that design come to life. To me they are artwork. Although I was raised in Arizona and spend my life here (and love it), I have had the opportunity to travel and live in different parts of the world. We have lived in Mexico twice and Chile twice and have traveled to many other countries. One thing that I have learned through this experience is that there are wonderful people everywhere you go and that Heavenly Father truly loves all people.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were members of the church and when I turned 8 years old I believed that the church was true and was baptized. In my early teens I felt a need to have a stronger testimony or belief in the teachings of the church. I began to read the Book of Mormon and to pray about it. After some time, I asked Heavenly Father if what I was reading was true. I was given a very strong feeling in my heart and in my mind that the answer was yes. Even now I can think back on that experience and remember how sure and certain that feeling was. I have had that feeling come on many occasions and I know now that it is the Holy Ghost testifying to me that this is truth. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and that Jesus Christ is his son and Savior of the world. That He is the only way back to our Father. Without this knowledge I would be lost in the world. I am so very grateful that He loves me!

How I live my faith

I love the opportunities that the church gives us to serve. Serving others is a blessing! I have taught children, adults, prepared meals, and organized activities. I have always enjoyed serving my family and finding ways to help them. I know that when we lose ourselves in service we will actually find ourselves!
