Hi I'm Emily

I'm an avid runner, a yoga enthusiast, and a registered nurse. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother to 4 beautiful and amazing little children. I take that very seriously. I quit my job as a nurse in the Emergency Room to be able to spend my full efforts, my full energy, raising and teaching my kids. It's a big job, and I don't love every second of it, but I'm passionate about it, and I'm up for the challenge. The longer I'm a mother, the more joy I find in the every day moments. At times it seems to be a thankless job, but in reality, there is no greater reward than the joy I get helping a child become who God created them to be.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon church, so I didn't know anything different as a child. But there comes a time when we each must choose to do things based on our OWN beliefs. I found my own testimony of the church bit by bit, and continue to rediscover different aspects of that testimony weekly.

How I live my faith

My husband is the Bishop of our ward, which makes Sundays long and stressful (remember I have four young children) I teach Relief Society lessons. Together we give hours and hours in church service. It's not always an easy sacrifice, until I remember who we are giving our time and efforts to: The Lord Jesus Christ, by serving our brothers and sisters and building His church. I live my faith daily. The way I treat my children, the way I treat my husband, the movies we watch, the books we read, the family time we hold sacred...it is all influenced by my faith in my Savior Jesus Christ. I am so appreciative of the direction that gives me on a daily basis.
