Hi I'm Joseph

I grew up in the Southwest. I am working on a MBA emphasis Chinese Finance. I like doing stand-up comedy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was working as an accountant for the last couple of years, and then I decided to get my MBA. I am currently attending school, studying long hours. During my busy schedule, I will hit up the gym almost every day. I am single and enjoy doing fun random activities and flirting. One of the most nerve-wrecking yet exciting experiences I have had is doing stand-up and getting out of my comfort zone. I served as a missionary in Korea and learned Korean. My MBA program will take me overseas to China, and I will likewise learn Chinese. I have many aspirations and goals in life. Some of my goals will include: serve as an ambassador, help improve poverty levels in specific regions, and serve a mission later on in life.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 16, I wanted to know who I was in life. My parents believed and I knew they believed. During my struggles as a teenager, I was told to read the Book of Mormon and pray about it. For the first time in my life, I personally read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover. I prayed about it. I asked our Heavenly Father to help me know these things are true, and to forgive me of my teenager flaws. I experienced such love and conviction immediately after and during my prayer that I know the scriptures are true and God loves me. This experience helped me to understand and love my Savior more. It has perpetuated my learning of the gospel and the importance it has to everyone. I am a Mormon because of the testimony our Father in Heaven in gave to me.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday, I go to church and listen to the well prepared lessons and talks. Usually, I try to apply something I learn every week. It is easier to live with moral standards when I go to church every week, read my scriptures every day, and pray throughout the day. The gospel has inspired me to serve others and look for opportunities to serve. I have done several hours of service through tutoring and being a mentor to those who struggle. Some of my favorite callings of service is to go to members houses and chat with them. I often find ways to serve them and make them smile. Life isn't always easy and during down times, it is always wonderful to have person who cares to stop you and make you happy. I love making individuals happy, and I love hearing people laugh.
