Hi I'm Jill

I am a wife and mother to four wonderful children. I teach high school Spanish. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I moved around a lot as a child...living in Texas, Washington, Arkansas, California, Virginia, and finally staying put in Colorado. I learned that no matter where we lived, home was where my family was. I want to be with my family forever, and I know that through the gospel of Jesus Christ, this great blessing is possible. I am now married with four children of my own. They are our treasures. Our oldest child has Down Syndrome. This has brought some challenges as well as opportunities for growth to our family. The teachings of the gospel help me to be a better wife and mother.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be baptized when I was eight years old. I still remember the warm, peaceful feeling I had that day. It is a feeling that I have felt many times since then whenever I am reading scriptures or learning more about the Gospel. I know that it is the Holy Ghost testifying to me of truth. I am thankful that I can know for myself that God loves me and that his Son, Jesus Christ, is my Savior. From this witness of the Holy Ghost, I also know that the Book of Mormon is true and that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet.

How I live my faith

I try to serve at home, at church, and at work as Jesus would if he were here. Each Sunday I teach a class on basic principles of the Gospel to people who are investigating the Church or who have recently been baptized. Some of the topics we discuss are faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, prayer, service, keeping the Sabbath day holy, etc. I learn so much from each of them and enjoy hearing their experiences and unique perspectives. They have truly blessed my life.
