Hi I'm Coley

I grew up in Florida. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I enjoy listening to all types of music. I play the guitar for my friends and family. I like anything that has to do with being outside. I lived in Mexico for two years as a missionary. I'm bilingual. I'm a college student. I was born and raised in the southeastern United States. I love to bass fish. I love to eat good southern food. I hope one day to work in the agriculture industry, and I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed to be born and raised under the direction of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I thank my Heavenly Father often for the opportunity I had to be born into a family that had already found Christ's church. Although I was born into the church, I still had to gain my own personal testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. Everyone has that question somewhere in the back of their mind -"If there is only one God and one Jesus Christ, then why are there so many religions on the earth today, and why do they tend to contend one with another?" The answer is simple. There is only one. Christ only established one church, so one must be right. I am a Mormon and know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ's church because they invite you to find out for yourself if the church is true or not. They invite you to have a one-on-one relationship with your Heavenly Father. They invite you to ask God himself if the Church is true or not. Although I was born into a family who's members were members of the church, I still had to find out for my self and my parents let me find out for my self. I believe the Book of Mormon is true, because I prayed myself and asked my Father in Heaven if it was true. He answered my prayers and he can answer yours. The Holy Ghost is real and helps answer your prayers. After receiving a personal testimony of the Book of Mormon, it was like a domino effect. Prophets were real, Christ's authority was on the earth, families are able to be sealed together for eternity. I can be forgiven for my sins when I mess up in life. Everything falls into place.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith- Many people think that if you go to church on Sunday, then you are OK with God. But often times people tend to forget, that what happens during the week, matters to God as well. I live my faith by remembering my Father in Heaven every day. I try to be a good example, and live the standards that he has set for us here on earth. I live life normally like everyone else does. I go to school. I go to work. I listen to music. I exercise (occasionally). I live a normal life. In the church, they give you responsibilities which are opportunities to serve others. I have had the opportunity to teach gospel lessons to the youth of the church, ages 15-16 years old. I have been able to talk with people investigating our church. I have been able to help out with men my own age to better their lives. I have helped with the scouting program the church is involved in. Serving others is the best way we can serve God. Everyone has challenges in their lives. I have my own difficulties. I'm not perfect. I will never be perfect, but I try to live in a manner pleasing unto God. No two challenges are the same in life. Everyone is different. I hold on to my faith to help me through my difficult times in life and help others through theirs in any way I can.
