Hi I'm Margret

I love to sing. I am a high school teacher. I used to do autopsies. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am newly married to a fabulous musician. I have a son and an energetic dog. I have performed in many choirs and musicals. Before becoming a teacher I studied Medical Science, worked in a mortuary doing post mortems (autopsies) and as a funeral director. I have worked in a very remote school with mostly indigenous Australians and now teach at a Christian School. Its great to start my work day with a few minutes of chapel and spiritual thought. I enjoy renovating and learned how to use tools going to work with my dad who is a builder. Family is very important to me and I love going to church each week with my mum.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in a family that attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I learnt to read with the scriptures and also learnt many public speaking and teaching skills. As an adult I chose to continue attending church because I believe that God is my Heavenly Father and he loves me and knows what I am doing. I want to be the best that I can and it is only through the saviours atonement that I can be worthy to return to live with God. I love that I can have inspiration for myself from the Holy Ghost and that I can listen to a living Prophet.

How I live my faith

I have moved many times and have worshiped with large wards in cities and very small groups in country towns, I have travelled overseas and experienced church in many languages. Everywhere I go to church they use the same scriptures, sing the same hymns, listen to the same standards and see people trying to be better. I have taught lessons, given talks and prayers and most recently was the music coordinator, choosing the hymns and leading the singing.
