Hi I'm Joel

I grew up in Southern California. I'm a music teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father of two beautiful children with our third child on the way. I am a high school music teacher and grad student in music. Working full time and going to grad school doesn't leave me a lot of time for hobbies but I love to read, swim, listen to music, but most of all, spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have had the Holy Spirit of God testify to me about the truths of Jesus Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon is another witness of Jesus Christ and that it, along with the Bible, help me in my efforts to be closer to and develop a relationship with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know, because the Holy Spirit has testified to me, that living prophets, like Moses and Noah, still live today and talk with God just as they did in Biblical times. Most importantly, I know that my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live and love me.

How I live my faith

My faith really helps to define who I am and why I make the decisions that I make. I try to always be good and honest at work and in dealing with others. I volunteer my time as the pastor for our congregation and I always strive to help others come closer to Christ in any way that I can. Because I teach High School, I have a special closeness with the youth and it's really important for me to try to help the teenagers develop their own relationship with our Savior. As a follower of Jesus Christ, I always try to do my best and what he wants me to do in all aspects of my life.
