Hi I'm Tim

I was lost...now I'm Mormon.

About Me

There's not much to me. I'm married to a beautiful woman and I have two awesome sons. I enjoy spending time with my family, geneaology, reading and relaxation.

Why I am a Mormon

I was going from belief to belief and church to church... I had been reading a little about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on the internet. I chose to read information from the Mormons themselves. I'm not sure what led me to search for the websites in the first place (just searching for random things on the internet), but I did find the website (lds.org) and started reading tidbits about the Church here and there. I liked what I read. I then searched for the Book of Mormon. It is a book that I remember from when I was 17 years old living in my parent's garage as a teenage musician. My brother had been visited by missionaries from the Church and when I saw the book, I asked to "check it out". He let me read it and I couldn't put it down, but I never finished it. I liked the book, never forgot it and believed it to be a book of scripture. It had a feeling of power. Now, after all the passing years, I wanted to read it again. I actually longed to see it, to behold it...and decided to finish it! I went to this website (mormon.org) and found a electronic form that I could fill out and submit. To make a long story short...I took the chance and missionaries came to my home. I happened to be putting in a window unit air conditioner and they were very polite and I got a very good impression from them. They even offered to help me install the unit but I was almost finished, so I declined. We talked a bit about the Book of Mormon and some of the things I realized from my visiting websites and scripture in the Bible. I was given the Book of Mormon and I KNEW it was true. Reading The Book of Mormon only made my faith grow stronger. I went to a service and I was overwhelmed at the true sincerity of all the people I met. I found what I had been looking for and I converted to the Church in early July of 2011.

How I live my faith

Even though I am new to the church I do everything I can to learn about the truth that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches. I attend sunday service with my family, read scriptures (including the Book of Mormon) every night, pray to our Heavenly Father and have family time with my family. I do not have any particular postion at the church I attend (since I am very new) but I am happy and excited just to be learning! But... if I'm called, or asked, to do something I do what I can to help.
