Hi I'm Holly

Small town, country living is where my heart is. Helping teenagers find a love for good books is my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love reading, and learning and perhaps could be called a perpetual student. My life hasn't turned out like I dreamed of as a teenager, but the Lord has been good to me. I was an unwed mother with a determination to raise my son in the best way possible. I married a quiet, honest man. Together we are working to raise our five kids.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in a Mormon family, I have often thought of myself as a "doubting Thomas". After following the ways of the popular culture after graduating from high school, I found myself in an empty, dark, and scary world. I had questioned the faith I had grown up with, and justified pulling away from it. When my son was born, I felt an overwhelming sense of responsibility. I determined that I needed to find out for myself if being a Mormon was the right way to live and to raise my son. I remember holding him in my arms, reading the Book of Mormon, and feeling a serge of strength, and enlightenment I had never experienced before. Since that night, I have continued to study and pray and have found the true gosepel of Jesus Christ. I know with all my heart He is my Lord and Redeemer. He can comfort the weary, heal the sick, lift the burdens of those who beleive on him. I know this because I have witnessed it in my life.

How I live my faith

Knowledge of our Savior, Jesus Christ, is what truely brings light into a young persons eyes. I enjoy sharing this knowledge. I love seeing a child as young as three, calmly and attentively listen to the stories of Jesus. The brightness, awe and wonder as the Spirit teaches heavenly truths is amazing.
