Hi I'm Ashley

I grew up and still live in Arizona. I am a recent college graduate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education. I am really happy to be done with school, although I do plan on getting a Master's Degree someday. I love spending time with my roommates and family. I love to visit my family in my hometown and play with my nieces and nephews. I really enjoy going to the movies, riding bikes, traveling, reading, and hanging out with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a pretty simple testimony and pretty simple reasons for why I'm a Mormon. I was baptized at the age of 8 and have known since I was very little that Heavenly Father hears and answers my prayers. I have felt His love all of my life. I have, on occasion, visited other churches with friends because I was invited and wanted to be polite. Through these experiences, I have come to know that the only true church upon this earth is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I could never deny that this church is true. I am a Mormon because it makes me happy and brings peace to my heart. I am a Mormon because I know its true. I am a Mormon because I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God. And I am a Mormon because I have prayed to know if this is the correct church and have had the Spirit testify to me personally that it is true.

How I live my faith

I am a member of a student singles' ward in Tempe and I really love it! It is so great to be around a bunch of people who are in the same position in life as I am. I have a calling in my ward with the women's organization and so I have the great advantage of working closely with the other girls in my ward to ensure that their needs are met and that they feel welcome and loved. I really enjoy working with the girls in my ward and I learn so much from them. I am grateful for their wonderful examples because they strengthen me as well. My ward has weekly activities that I enjoy participating in because it again gives me the chance to socialize with people my age who have the same beliefs and morals that I do. I also really enjoy working with people who aren't of my faith. I love to hear about what people believe in and how they live their lives. I am able to do this by meeting new people at school or through work or other community activities. There are so many good people in this world and I try to take every opportunity I can to meet new people and form new friendships.
