Hi I'm Stirling

I am a husband, father, Army Officer and Emergency Medicine Doctor. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am first a husband and father to my beautiful wife and two lively children. I am an United States Army Officer and an emergency medicine doctor. I am an ardent advocate for the Down Syndrome Community and along with my wife, our son's biggest supporter. I love to play and watch all sports and enjoy just about any activity done outdoors. I love my family and I love the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

Like all members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I have gained a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel through study, prayer and the holy ghost. Many people ask me why I'm a Mormon or if I feel restricted to do what I want in a religion they perceive to be restrictive. My answer is always the same. I know the gospel of Jesus Christ is the one and true pathway to living with God in his glory once again. I will do whatever it takes to have myself and my family enjoy that salvation. What is most interesting is that putting aside the treasures and blessings that await us in heaven if we prove ourselves worthy here on the earth, the gospel of Jesus Christ is the blueprint for true happiness and peace here on the earth. If you want you and your family to be truly healthy and happy here on the earth then follow the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Life is just better and easier if you do what the lord wants you to do.

How I live my faith

I live my faith day to day. Trying to do my best and lead by example. Some days I do really well, others not so much. Fortunately the atonement and sacrifice of Jesus Christ allows me to better myself and grow closer to him. I am fortunate to be able to participate with the youth of the church. They help me to stay young. I feel the best way to live your faith is through your example and how you treat others. Prayer, scripture study and obedience to the commandments are so crucial to living your faith.
