Hi I'm Claire

I'm a wife and mother, a lover of music and laughter, an eater of good food and a Texan, but most importantly I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a wonderful man and we have been blessed with two little boys. My husband is in law school, and I do my best at taking care of our kiddos and our home. Before I had children, I worked as a CNA and dreamed of getting my RN or becoming a paramedic. Maybe someday! Our home is filled with all kinds of music, and plenty of laughter. Just the way I like it! Even though we don't have much money (or any for that matter...law school is crazy expensive) I feel like I am living the dream. My life is what it is because of the gospel. It keeps me focused, and reminds me of what truly matters in this life. I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and while I always enjoyed it and the friends I had there, I struggled for a few years trying to decide if I was willing to live the standards. I lost sight of what was important. Thankfully, I figured it out! There is no way my life would be what it is, if I had not made the choice to stick around and live those standards. They keep me and my family safe, focused, and happy. Frankly, I would have nothing without this gospel that I love. I wouldn't have my loving husband, or our beautiful children, and they ARE everything. Family is everything.

How I live my faith

This is a tough question! But I think I'd have to say, I live my faith by trying my hardest to love people, and show them that love. Each of us is a child of God and I have been reminded time and time again that whatever choices we have made, or circumstances we are in, we are EQUALLY important to our loving Father in heaven! Christ asked us to feed his sheep, and love our neighbors. People are important! Nothing brings joy like serving another person, and nothing can make a person feel loved like being served.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Absolutely. The bible is the word of God. It is full of instruction, and examples, and help. If you could have more of that, wouldn't you? That's what the Book of Mormon is. It's more. Show more Show less
