Hi I'm Chris

I'm a wife and mother of 2 wonderful children and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to a wonderful man now for 22 years.I have 2 children, a daughter and a son. We are an outdoors type of family who loves to camp, fish, boating, and anything to do outdoors. I recently went through gastric bypass surgery to better my life from the many health issues related to my weight. So far the surgery has been a success and I am on the road to a new me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was never raised with religion. When I married my husband he was a member of the church but had fallen away. It wasn't until we had children and our daughter who was 8 at the time decided to start going to church with her grandparents. When she decided to be baptized she asked to have her dad baptize her. the bishop at the time allowed my husband to baptize her but her grandfather had to confirm her. Shortly after her baptism the missionaries came and started giving me the lessons. I knew right away this is where I needed to be. I decided to wait to be baptized until my husband became an elder and could baptize and confirm me. It took about six months for the process and many missionaries but as promised as soon as my husband became an elder I was baptized on 09/10/1999. A year later at Christmas time my little family was sealed in the Boise Temple for time and all eternity. I have never felt more at peace and secure in my decision to become a member. I had always known there was a reason I was here but did not know why. Death has always scared me to the point I would not live life to the fullest afraid of the unknown. I am so thankful for the bases and knowledge that the church provides. That I can be with my family forever. I am thankful ever day for the guidance and love I feel from my savior.

How I live my faith

I currently teach the 3 year olds on Sunday about the savior and the gospel. I enjoy spending the time with these little ones that are so eager to learn all they can. Being the only member of the church from my side of the family I have a lot of family history work to do. I just recently completed the work for my mother in the temple, what a wonderful feeling that is for me to know I will be with her again someday.
