Hi I'm Dan

I'm a dentist, a musician, a father, and a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the South, but my family moved to Washington State when I was 9. I love singing barbershop, playing guitar, and distance running. I served a mission in Brazil, and went to dental school in Florida. To me, a perfect Saturday could be grilling burgers and watching college football, or kicking back and playing board games with friends, I love it all.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in the Bible belt, religion was always a big part of my life. I read the New Testament by myself for the first time when I was seven years old. While I was raised Mormon, about the time I graduated high school I realized it was wrong to simply piggy-back on my parents beliefs. I did some honest, sincere soul searching. I prayed to my Heavenly Father, asking to know the truth, and what He would have me do. Simply put, He answered me. I am a Mormon because He answered me and told me the way to go, and I do my best to help others realize they can ask their Heavenly Father too. You can know that you are a child of God.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon means that I read my scriptures and try my best to live as Jesus would. I participate in charity events and help to lead the youth at church. It means that when people I know are sick or need help, I do whatever I can. I volunteer at scout camps and girls' camps. Maybe most of all, I just try and spread happiness.
