Hi I'm Meghan

I grew up in Colorado and was raised in another faith. And now...I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom to a spunky 3-year old and a wife to an amazing man. I work part-time at the local hospital in the postpartum unit. I love to craft and am currently a beginner quilter. I dream about the future and all of its possibilities.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church in 2002 while away at school. I had no interest in the church even though the majority of my high school friends were all Mormon and I knew how wonderful they were. A roommate had recently joined the church and had missionaries over monthly for dinner. I normally hid when they arrived. One day I asked my roommate what was so great about her new church; a few days later I received a call from one of the missionaries. I reluctantly gave into meeting with them. Before I knew it, my heart was full of love and joy; it was as if my spirit had awoken and my heart was rejoicing. I spent most of the first meeting in tears, then not sure of their purpose. I was eager to learn more of the church, meeting with the missionaries weekly. I was asked to read the Book of Mormon and ponder it; I found I didn't want to stop reading it. The church has given me so much; direction, hope, desire, love, family. I know that this is His true church and that He loves each and everyone of us. Since becoming a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, my life is bright and has a purpose. I am starting to see my divine potential in being a good wife and mother. I know that I can over come any obstacles that may be placed in my path with the help of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Without His church, I don't know where I would be.

How I live my faith

I am the only member in my family, but I have been blessed to have wonderful in-laws that are members of this church. They are amazing examples to me and my husband and daughter. I currently am a teacher in our ward's Primary, children from the ages of 3 years to 11 years old. I get the opportunity to prepare lessons and share my testimony with them. These children are precious not only in Heavenly Father's eyes but also mine. They come to church and sit quietly by their peers. The songs that they sing fill my heart and I can feel Heavenly Father's love for them. I also visit a few women at least once a month in their homes. There we share a message from the church and we strengthen each other. The friendships that I have made are eternal blessings!
