Hi I'm Ryan

I'm a math fanatic, a nerd, and a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Ryan. I have lived in Tallahassee, Florida and Saline, Michigan which is right outside Ann Arbor. I am a big sports fan--especially college football, baseball, and hockey! My family is the most important thing to me. Without them I don't know where I would be. They have been the ones who have helped me in my times of weakness and in my struggles. They have always helped me to remember to turn towards the Lord at all times in my life, but especially when I am in need. I am currently serving a mission at the Referral Center in the MTC. Before I came on my mission I went to a year of college in Utah majoring in Mechanical Engineering. I know it's weird, but I love math and I'm excited to get my degree so that I can use math in real situations--not just examples from the textbook! My favorite past times are playing games with my family, watching a good movie, and just laughing. I also enjoy comic books. Not really any in particular, I am just a big fan of the idea of people with talents that they develop and use to help other people! One thing unique about me is that I have a form of Muscular Dystrophy that limits my physical abilities. Thankfully it doesn't limit my ability to learn. I am very grateful for that! I have been able to learn a lot from my disability and have met some amazing people because of it. I have come not only to accept that it is a part of me, but to be thankful to my Heavenly Father for giving me this obstacle and opportunity to grow!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints simply because I know that it is true. I know that unlike most things in life, it is 100% true. There is no aspect of it that isn't from God. There are a lot of things that don't make sense, but in those instances, it's important to remember that God is at the head of the church and that as long as He knows why something is so, that's enough for me. I was born into the church and was raised with a strong religious emphasis on everything that I did. I made my fair share of mistakes and probably some of the next guy's. Through those mistakes I have learned about the most important doctrine that exists and that is the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus Christ suffered and died for me so that I could be forgiven for my mistakes. I know that through the Atonement we can all be cleansed from sin, freed from guilt, and brought into a state that makes it possible for us to live with God again but only if we follow the teachings and commandments of God. I also know in the Ressurection, my body will become perfected through the Atonement. Because of this I look forward to living with my family forever with a complete and whole body. I am extremely grateful for Jesus Christ and His sacrifice that makes it possible for everyone to return to live with God if they will just repent and live according to His will!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live the way that Heavenly Father would want me to. I live it by keeping his commandments and listening to the promptings that I receive from Him through the Holy Ghost. I live my faith by trying to be the best example that I can be to everyone. Most recently I am living my faith by serving a mission and sharing the gospel and the truth to those who seek it.
