Hi I'm Janie

I love art, photograhy, music and dance. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student, a sister, a daughter, a friend. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because it is the true church. I have never felt happier, more comforted or more strengthened than when I am at church and I am living the standards of the gospel. This gospel has given me the knowledge of why I am here, why I have to face struggles and who I can be. No matter what trials life brings, I know I can turn to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. The church has helped me grow closer to them.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow the example of Christ. I volunteer in the community. I try to be kind to everyone I associate with and keep the church standards such as: dressing modestly, not smoking or drinking, watching movies and listening to music that are not offensive. No matter who I am with, or where I am, I live these standards because they are commandment from God that will help me draw closer to Him.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Janie
The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. Meaning it is another witness that Christ lives and loves his children. It includes the visit of the resurrected Christ to teach the people on the American continent. The Book of Mormon does not take the place of or refute the Bible. It corresponds to the Bible and actually helps readers understand principles even better. This book is a record of ancient prophets and is called the Book of Mormon because the prophet Mormon was one of the last to record. These records were translated to English by the prophet Joseph Smith for the Latter days. Those who read and pray about the Book of Mormon can come to know of its truth. Show more Show less
