Hi I'm Alan

I love my family and friends, my guitar, the sky, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to spend time with my family, my friends, and my music. I love listening to music that has heart. I play the guitar and find so much enjoyment in writing, playing, and performing the music I write with my friends. I was born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley. I come from a blended family and I'm the oldest of 6, soon to be...not the oldest of a whole lot more. My dad has remarried, my mom is soon to be remarried. Nothing brings me more happiness than being around the people that I love. I believe life was meant to be enjoyed! I enjoy looking at and taking pictures of the sky. The day I let the gospel of Jesus Christ change me, was the day my eyes were opened to the beauty of the world we live in. Currently, I am serving as a full-time missionary in the DC Metro area of Northern Virginia and I'm loving every moment of it. I try to do my best in all that I do and follow the example of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I like to think of myself as a revert to the church. I was born to parents that were members of the faith, baptized when I was eight, and attended Sunday school. I wasn't always, however, inclined to participate, to say the least, and stopped attending regularly when I was a teenager. It wasn't until I was 21 and became aware of how much better my life could be, that I actually tried to figure things out for myself. It's simple, really. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to my Heavenly Father to know if it was true. I know it is true by the power of the Holy Ghost. The real reason I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is because God told me I should be. So I am! And I am so grateful and happy to be so.

How I live my faith

It's simple, really. I live my faith by doing my best to follow the example of Jesus Christ and do what he would do. I try to see people the way God sees them.
