Hi I'm Mark

Hi! I'm Mark. I live in Colorado, I ride mountain bikes, dirt bikes, hike, backpack, and Scout with my boys, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in Wyoming in a very small down. Nearly everything I did as a child was outside. In fact, my mom used to say "go play, but be back for dinner", and so I did. I love being outside among Gods creations. I ride my mountain bike M-W-F-Sa year around each week at 5:30am for both physical and mental health and I love it! I have a great marriage to a beautiful and wonderful woman. She pushes me to be better and is my greatest example of love and charity on this earth. I also have 3 children (boy, girl, boy) and I love to spend time with them camping, hiking, and riding dirt bikes. As a boy I was involved in the Boy Scouts of America and as an adult I've been served the youth as a scout master and in other programs like the scouting because I believe in future generations and love to be around and work with the youth in helping them learn practical life skills and develop character. In short, my life has been greatly blessed and I try to count my blessings daily and give back. I love the example of the Savior and want to be like him. I love Him for His example and sacrifice for me and all humankind and I try to live my life in a way that reflects this.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon to a good family that raised me as a member of this church and taught me about Heavenly Father and Jesus and their plan for us. I struggled as a rebellious teen, but finally realized that all that is good and brings true and lasting happiness comes from God. I studied and prayed to know how to live my life and came to know for myself that the truth was always right in front of me! I have pioneer ancestry that sacrificed everything they had including their lives in some cases for their belief that this is God's church. I know it is true myself by the power and influence of the Holy Ghost and want to continue that legacy of love and service and belief for my own posterity and anyone that wants and seeks for true happiness and peace.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example of honesty and integrity at work and in the community. I'm a manager of people at work and I try to build a team and culture of good people that work hard together. I feel it is my responsibility to be that example and that good results will always follow strong leadership. At home I try to balance my interests and priorities by spending quality time with each family member to strengthen and develop my relationships with my favorite people. I love my family and I tell them all the time! I also serve freely in my church congregation by scheduling and teaching classes and meetings each Sunday and by supporting various programs that help and support the youth. I try to read and study the scriptures and pray daily to Heavenly Father to know His will and seek His guidance in my life.
