Hi I'm Susan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to watch my children grow and explore life. I love to see their personalities develop and watch who they are becoming. I love to think and plan and execute projects of any kind. I like to be busy creating and doing. In fact I have a hard time not actively doing something. I like a clean and organized house. I am very satisfied with a job well done. It makes me happy. I guess I am a little type A in the personality department, but I like me that way.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon and have found great peace in the teachings I was raised with. I watched my parents exhibit great faith amongst their trials and it set an example to me of how to follow and rely upon our Savior Jesus Christ. I could see clearly how following the commandments of God blesses us and I have chosen to try my best to follow Him. That doesn't mean I have been without trials or feelings of rebellion, because I have certainly dealt with my own hardships and efforts to overcome my weaknesses. But through those very hard times, my faith has been strengthened as I have worked on my relationship with my Savior. I have seen and experienced many blessings and miracles in my life and I cannot discount the hand of God helping me through. I firmly believe that everyone has the opportunity to know our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ, by a witness and help from the Holy Spirit. Christ will help us and forgive us as we make our way back to Him. He will provide a way for us to choose His way and He will bless us as we take each step forward in keeping His commandments. I also believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay Saints has been restored as Christs true church and that there is a prophet of God leading us back to our Father in Heaven. I know our Savior atoned for our sins and every trial that we deal with in this life, we can be made whole through Him. I am so grateful that there is a plan for our salvation and I am relieved that I do not have to struggle with this knowledge. I am at peace with knowing and accepting this gospel as truth.

How I live my faith

I wish I could say that I live a perfect life. I like that, perfection, but I most certainly do not. I have to let go of my pride and apologize to my husband and children, admit fault and ask for forgiveness. And then try harder to be the person I am asked to be. I work on living my faith by teaching my own children the gospel truths and showing them how to obey Gods laws. As I go through my daily life, I work on seeing and treating others as the Savior would. I feel this definitely humbles me as I meet new people who I know the Lord loves as much as he loves me. I have also found great strength in serving the Lord in His church. And as I get to know other people, it becomes clearer to me how important it is for each of us to hold together and help one another get back to our Father in Heaven.
