Hi I'm Dave

I'm from Southern California, I love the outdoors and being active. I'm a latter-day Saint.

About Me

I'm from southern California, born and raised. I love goin to the beach and hangin out on the waves. I like goin hiking/camping, biking, playing sports (mainly rugby, hockey, football and basketball but i play all the other ones too), and hangin out with friends to induce laughter. I want to be better at helping other people and I know that by following the example of Jesus Christ I will better be able to do so. I hope to leave the places I have been better than they were when I found them, and have hopes for a more peaceful world.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the restored church of Jesus Christ. I know that the Messiah lives and offers help to all, whether we ask for it or not. I know that I am a son of a loving Heavenly Father who leads and guides me so I can return to live in peace with Him. I have tried this life without this church, and I have tried this life with it. I have seen a clear difference in my life in both of those different stages of my life, and I know that I have peace when I am actively living the principles taught in this church and bringing myself closer to my Lord and Savior. I know there are many great philosophies and religions out there, and I also know, by the power of the Holy Spirit, that this Gospel contains the full truth of the world. I know through, and only through, the principles taught within this church can I return to live with my Heavenly Father, my Savior and my family in happiness.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary serving in San Antonio, Texas. I am learning spanish to help communicate the Lord's Gospel with those from south of the border. I love spreading the word of God. I try to follow the example of Jesus Christ in all I do. It is difficult, almost impossible and I am nowhere close to the kind of man He is, but I am trying. I know that with His help I will become a better man. I lend a helping hand to those who need support. To live the golden rule is my goal, and I stay cognicent of how I treat others. I know that I must first love my God with all my heart, and then I must love my fellow man with all my might, and that is how I can enjoy happiness in this life.

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

Church services bring peace to the soul and leave the people participating in the service uplifted with a boost of faith, hope and love that endures. Visitors are always welcome, because anyone who attends will feel the Spirit and know that Jesus is the Christ and that our Heavenly Father knows and loves us. Show more Show less
