Hi I'm Kelsey Mae

The future me is a missionary, wife, teacher, mother, and #1 grandmother. But, right now, I'm just trying to be a woman of honor.

About Me

I'm a college student studying to become a teacher of... well, everything. My career goals include elementary school teacher, junior high teacher, high school Spanish teacher, restaurant owner, and eventually professor at the university level. I love love love love love teaching, but even more than teaching, I love learning! I'd rather be good at and enjoy doing many things than be absolutely outstanding at one thing. I read, write, cook, paint, play saxophone and guitar, sing, edit videos, travel (I've been everywhere!), write music, play volleyball and softball. I'm also quite talented at being a beach bum and lake rat.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason why I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is because it is, in fact, the church of JESUS CHRIST. Through many experiences in my life I have felt the Spirit confirm to me that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored and that His church is on the earth. I know that He lives and because of Him we can improve ourselves each day. We can be optimistic! We can continue learning! We can live with our families forever! I love this gospel because it's enabled me to be the best I can and live a wonderful life.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life so that my faith is evident in my actions. I try to take advantage of every opportunity to serve those around me. The best service I have done has come from church callings! This past year during school I was in charge of organizing and running a free tutoring program. Teaching is my thing! Once a week, kids from the hispanic community would come to the church to get free help on their homework. After they finished their homework, we had guitar and piano classes, books, and games. We also had an English class for the adults while their children worked on their schoolwork. This was such an incredible experience and it is only a glimpse of the opportunities that have opened up to me through living the gospel. I am currently serving as a ward missionary. The past year of serving in these callings has definitely been preparing me to serve a full time mission. As I previously stated, the gospel helps people become all that they can be! Soon, I will be a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I will be so blessed to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the people of Chiclayo, Peru.
