Hi I'm Paul

I am a family man who works as a carpet cleaner. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was bought up in a family where we were always encouraged to reach our full potential. I enjoy cooking-trying out new things. I particularly love cooking family recipes that have been passed down the family. Spending time with my family is very important to me and we try to seek opportunities to do things together such as swimming with our infant daughter and visiting family and friends. I enjoy visiting the cinema, going out for meals and much more. I have been married to my wife since 2008 and currently work as a fire and flood restorator, Helping those effected by disaster both domestic and comercial.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents allowed the missionaries to enter their home in 1971 where they were taught the basic principles of the LDS church. This was a tough time as my mother was from a strong catholic family and my father was church of England. They were invited to read Moroni 10, where my parents would find out for themselves if the book of Mormon was true. I am the youngest of 8 children, Each of us had the agency to follow the same invitation and find out for ourselves. I realised that in order to have a testimony I needed to base it on faith. Once obtained I would have to continually build on it through study, prayer and obedience. I began Seminary when I was 14. This is a programme where the youth study the scriptures as a class daily early in the mornings. It was here I learnt to really gain a testimony of who my saviour was and I could ask heavenly father the question about the book of Mormon for myself. I have had such wonderful leaders in the church who have been positive role models to me. My parents have taught me right from wrong and I am grateful to them for teaching me those basic and essential qualities. The gospel of Jesus Christ Is about serving and I have seen that endlessly. I am grateful for the knowledge I have that I can be with my family for time and all eternity, as long as I am worthy. The Church has blessed my life and growing up in it, I have learnt some life long values that have helped me build the foundations of my life. The book of Mormon is a good basis to build our testimony. It is a book designed for our day and I know we can recieve answers from the words contained in this sacred book- which are another witness of Christ. The bible is to the word of God, as far is it is translated correctly and I am grateful to know that with the help of the book of mormon the bible makes more sense.

How I live my faith

As a member of the church we are one big family who give strength to eachother, We know we need to put our faith to work and help our brothers and sisters when in need. I am currently a branch president which is serving as the local church leader in the Redcar area. We try to emulate the saviour in all we do and say. What better example is their of a man that offered his times and talents to man. As such we strive to follow the whole week seeking oppunities to help those in need of the basic principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My biggest honour and responsibility I have is my wife and daughter. I am grateful for their support and love.
