Hi I'm Andrew

I grew up in Loomis California. I love to play sports. I love to read. I love to do anything active and outdoors. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Andrew.I love my family and they are very important to me. I owe my parents so much for all they have done for me and I am so grateful to them. I am the second of 4 kids-2 boys and 2 girls. I grew up in California and am currently serving a mission in Alaska. I played football and track in high school and hope to play in college after my mission. I dont have a major picked out yet but am planning on either going to school to become a physical therapist or a chiropractor. I enjoy getting lost in a good book. I love listening to music, though I have no musical talent in my body.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents are members of the church and so I was raised in the church. I could tell you all about the church and the Book of Mormon, but I didn't have a testimony of it in my heart. I relied on the testimonies of my parents and that only got me so far. In my high school years I struggled with both family and personal trials that were going on at the time, and began to question the faith I had been raised in. After a couple years of struggling, I finally decided to really find out if what I had always been taught was true or not. I started to really read and study the Book of Mormon with a sincere heart and real intent. Also at that time my prayers were the most earnest and sincere and i really wanted to know if the Book of Mormon was the word of God and if this was Christ's church. I also started meeting with the missionaries and they taught me and helped me. Through diligent effort and seeking, I came to know that God lives and that Jesus is my Savior and Redeemer, that the Book of Mormon truly is the word of God and was written for our day, and that Christ's church and priesthood were restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. And through my search, my life was filled with such light, love and peace. My life has been transformed through the Atonement of Jesus Christ from bad to good. I am so grateful for what I have been given and I am continually striving to strengthen my testimony of Jesus Christ and His gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in the small and simple things, like reading my scriptures, going to church, praying. I strive to serve others and help them where I can. Although I am far from perfect, I live and follow the commandment and teachings of Jesus Christ as best I can. I am currently serving a two year mission in Alaska, teaching people about Jesus Christ and the Church and providing service for those in need. Before my mission I taught a youth class and served as a home teacher.
