Hi I'm Bongi

"I'm from South Africa, in KwaZulu-Natal. I've never been outside my country. Planning to do a lot of travelling. I'm a Mormon."

About Me

I'm currently a university student, studying towards being a charted accountant. I'm away from home and very family orientated. I go home every chance I get. I love being around good company and have always been an active person, especially in sports. I've played hockey since primary and I still play for the varsity team, I love it. I love being around children, they have this innocence and possitive outlooking in life that we can all learn from. Serving others brings me joy and I'm grateful for the opportunities I have to serve, especially in church.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a convert into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I met the missionaries during my high school years, while working as a waitress in a restuarant. After their dinner, one of them asked if they could visit me and my family. There were a lot of them, so I hesitated, until he said only two of them would come. They were such great customers, so I agreed. That was the first time I met with the missionaries and learned about the Book of Mormon and The Church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints. They were'nt the missionaries that baptized me, but I will never forget them. I'm the only member of the church in my family, I was baptized at the age of 19. It's not always easy, being an only member, but I am strengthened, by the Lord always and I know that it is worth it and that as I continue to live the gospel, I can hope that someday my family will come to know of it's truthfullness. I am richly blessed to have the gospel in my life.

How I live my faith

I love going to church, every Sunday and feasting upon the scriptures. Every answer to lifes question that I have, I find in the scriptures and through fellow members and their inspired messages, that they share with us at church. I love to serve and I am grateful to serve little children at church, by teaching them the gospel, which I love and which blesses me so much.
