Hi I'm Suzanne

I'm a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, musician, artist, multimedia specialist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up with five brothers who were both music and sports minded. Going to church was a good way of life for us. We participated in both school and church music, plays and ballgames. It helped me have good friends and be a friend. In high school we attended early morning seminary. It started our day off right. When I married, we went on to have one girl and four boys! Again, music, sports and our faith in God kept our family together. After raising the kids, I went back to college to learn computer skills, that helped me start my own business. Throughout this parenting process, we kept involved by volunteering in the children's schools, and in their various activities. I attended whatever they were involved in to support them, so that they knew how much we care and love them. We raised them well, to have faith in God, do their best, and return with honor. They weren't perfect, neither were we, but we all keep trying to do better and help each other.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, which is just a nickname. I am honored to belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know God is part of every little thing in my life. This brings me and my family great peace. As a mother, I find that if I am unhappy, everyone around me is too. Sometimes this seems unfair, as we feel we deserve to be grumpy once in awile, but when we give into this, it's contagious and then we really pay! The gospel of Jesus Christ isn't just a Sunday church, it is a way of life. It helps you balace your life. It encourages education, self suffiency, being spiritually strong as well as physically fit. I enjoy learning skills of cooking with wholesome foods, sewing, emergency preparedness. It has given me opportunities for growth throughout my life. It is such precious knowledge that you wish others could know what you know, could have what you have, could feel what you feel. I know the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth, that he loves us and has provided a way for us to come to the earth, gain experience, grow in faith, find the way back, which is through baptism, and return to Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I try to think of the scripture that says, "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren ye have done it unto me" Matthew 25:10. When I think of this, it helps me serve others with a smile. It's important to not only pray for people, but do all you can to help them. Because of my musical background I have organized many musical evenings. This not only helps people be able to share their talents, but helps the people who come to watch, feel joy, it creates great memories and wholesome entertainment, which is hard to find nowadays. I have also been able to organize people to teach about art and music in the elementary schools. This fostered cultured thinking, the children were able to recognize classical music, pronouce names and know what an impressionistic painting was. I enjoy people.
