Hi I'm Karen

I'm a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mom, a grandma, a friend, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married my high school sweetheart when I was 21years old. We raised 5 wonderful children and had 25 amazing years together. In 2006 my sweet husband passed away from a malignant brain tumor. When I became a widow I thought I would spend the rest of my mortal life alone, but Heavenly Father had other plans for me. He sent an old friend back into my life, and we were married a short time later. We are learning and growing, as we experience the joy and challenges of combining our two families into one. My greatest joy is in being a wife, mother, and now a grandmother. I am surrounded by love! Life is an incredible gift!

Why I am a Mormon

As a child, I was a Mormon because my parents were Mormon. I believed what they believed. Then when I became a teenager, I realized that I needed to know for myself if everything I had been taught over the years was true. I needed to know for myself that Joseph Smith was a Prophet, that the Book of Mormon is a true book, that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins because he loves us. I needed my own testimony. So I did as Joseph Smith did...I asked Heavenly Father, and over time, he answered me. My testimony came quietly and gradually, but it came, and now I know for myself that Jesus lives, and the "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" is Heavenly Father's church...and that's why I'm a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by trying to help others find joy in their journey, and I try my best to love unconditionally and serve out of love for others.
