Hi I'm Steve

I'm a college student studying exercise science. I am from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and love pole vaulting and football.

About Me

I love sports and things with the outdoors and especially swimming when it is hot. I have 8 sisters and 3 brothers and one of my brothers and one of my sisters are twins and they were adopted. Also my other brother is actually my cousin that has lived with us for 8 years and is now my brother and my last brother is a young man who has living with us for about 3 years now. I played quarterback for my football team and I love to play basketball and run track as well as sing and dance (occasionally together). Now I am a student at Brigham Young University.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the message of Jesus Christ and his Atonment for us has changed my life. I know that through this Church and through this Gospel I can live with my family as a family forever after this life. I know the Book of Mormon is true and I love to read it along with the Bible. I find happiness and joy everyday in my life through this Church and in my Savior Jesus Christ. There is love in my home and I have a strong loving family that cares about me because of this Gospel in our home.

How I live my faith

I change my self every day through my faith in the Atonement. I believe and I act on the things that I know. I don't just believe in Christ but change my life and actions through him.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Steve
The purpose of life is to find happiness, happiness that will last forever not momentary pleasures. The joy and love that comes through families and obeying the word of God in all forms is the happiness God wants for us. Christ suffered and died so that it is possible to live with God again. Therefore in this life we must be obedient to use that sacrifice of Christ and through him and our obedience and faithfulness to his commandments we can become worthy to live with God and our families forever in happiness. Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Steve
No we do not. We only worship God. Joseph Smith was a great man who did much for all mankind but he is in no way a Saviour nor do we consider him one. He was a Prophet like Thomas S. Monson today and like Noah and Moses of old times. He was an instruments in God's hands to restore His (God's) church to the Earth so we would know how Jesus Christ taught us and that we may follow Christ in the true ways God intends us to follow.
