Hi I'm Michelle

I'm a Mormon. I was born and raised in Las Vegas. I love my family, and I love teaching kindergarten.

About Me

I am a busy mom of three beautiful children. My husband and I just celebrated our 20th anniversary. I love my family more than anything and enjoy spending time with them. I stay busy with my children's activities- lacrosse, dance, preschool, homework, and church activities. I also teach kindergarten and love it so much. Working with children is such a wonderful expreience that I feel so lucky to get to do it each day. I aslo love reading, doing geneology, traveling, and working out.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family with an LDS mother and raised in the church. My wonderful strong mother made choices in her life to help me see that she loved the church and the Lord. Her example was an inspiration to me. As I learned more about the gospel through my own study of the scriptures and presonal prayers, I gained my own testimony of its truth. I know that Jesus is my Savior, and I love His perfect example. I know that following Him and His teachings blesses my life and makes me a happier person. I have seen the blessings of follwing the example of Christ in the lives of many of my family and friends. I have seen the power of His love and felt it in my life.

How I live my faith

I have always worked with the youth in our church, which I love. For many years I was able to teach the smaller children and love seeing the light in their eyes. Recently, I have been able to work with the young women, specifically with the girls that are 14 and 15 years old. At first, I was a little intimidated by these beautiful young ladies, as I have always felt so comfortable with the young children. However, through the past year, I have learned so much about them, and I am in awe of these strong girls. Going to girl's camp for a week the past two summers and seeing these girls tackle difficult tasks with strength and determination made me love them more. Teaching them each week and watching them handle the struggles of school and all of the things that the world is throwing at these young adults shows me how strong our youth are. I also am able to see that the gospel principles help them to make good choices each day. They choose early in their lives what they want and they stick to these choices, overcoming peer pressure to give in to drugs, sex, cheating, and many other things that would change the path that they have chosen. I love working with these young women, and I am so proud of them. My daughter is one of these great girls, and I love the blessings that the gospel and its teachings bring to her life. I know that I am growing in my talents and abilites as I work with these youth.
