Hi I'm Kendra

I live in Colorado with my husband and 5 kids. I love hiking when I get a chance. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

hi I'm Kendra. I'm married and have 5 kids. I grew up in Dallas, went to school in Utah, served a mission in Romania, and currently live in Colorado. I love living in Colorado. I love watching Rockies baseball on summer nights. I love to go to Rocky Mountain National Park with my family and explore new trails. I love hiking 14ers and crave summit views and thin air and am always thinking which peak I want to hike next. I love running in the morning and look forward to the Bolder Boulder every Memorial Day. Other things about me...I love to read when I find the time. Absolutely love Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice. But also the Harry Potter books. I like to bake bread, decorate sugar cookies, and try new recipes.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know this church is true. I have always been a member of this church and am grateful for my heritage. I can't think of a time in my life where I ever doubted the truthfulness of the gospel. I remember reading the Book of Mormon in it's entirety for the first time when I was 11. I remember that summer afternoon as I finished reading those last verses in Moroni knowing that what I had read was true. And even today, every time I read I'm amazed at what I learn and how studying the scriptures blesses me and my family.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the example of the Savior. I'm not perfect, far from it, but hope that every day I can be a little better. I attend and serve in my ward every Sunday. I don't drink, swear, or dress immodestly. My standards are high and I'm grateful for the example others have been to me and hope to be the same to my children, friends, and family. I love to go to the temple with my husband and feel the peace that it offers.
