Hi I'm Amanda

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married for 13 years and I am a stay-at-home mom to our four children. I love to knit, sew, read good books and watch movies with my family. I have a Bachelors degree in Behavioral Science and I want to continue on to get my Masters degree in Occupational Therapy so that I can help people who have been injured regain some independence.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church to parents who really loved and followed the gospel. I was always a good kid and never really did anything wrong and went to church and married in the temple. I always followed what my parents taught me and learned a lot about the scriptures from my husband when I married him. I never really questioned whether or not the church was true. I think the Lord knew that I needed a testimony of my own and put our young family through some really hard trials that lasted almost two years. There were times when I really felt that either God was not real or that at least he had forgotten about me and didn't care about me. I hated that feeling. I really wanted to know that he loved me and I really had to know that he was there. I continued to pay my tithing and go to church and talk to family members and the Lord began to bless us and send us on the right path. Now I cannot deny that He is there and cares for me. I have seen his hand in so many places in my life. He continues to care for and bless me and my family. And now when I have trials I have absolute faith that he will help us through them. I am so grateful for this hard experience in my life to teach me that I had a testimony and could make it stronger and better through trials of my faith.

How I live my faith

I love going to church every week because it makes me feel like I am renewed and can get through the week. I help with activities for the 10-12 yr. old girls two times a month.
