Hi I'm Jenn

I grew up in California. I am a van driver for a nursing home. I am a daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 30 year old single. I work as an aide on a special needs bus which I love doing. I have a teaching credential in physical education but I am unable to find a job in that field. I like to spend time with my family, reading, work with computers, be in the outdoors, helping other people, and sharing what The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints means to me. I also suffer with anxiety and depression and have sense I was in high school.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born as a Mormon, and was baptized at the age of 8, but as I got older I started to doubt that it was really the thing that was right for me. As I prayed to my Heavenly Father I started to understand different things the church teaches and what a difference it made in my life. At the age of 21 I decided that I wanted to go I a mission for the church and was asked to serve in Alabama which changed my life forever. During that time I realized that if I was to go out and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people in Alabama and where ever I lived from then on I had find out for myself if the church was really true. I know that if Joesph Smith was a prophet then the Book of Mormon was true which means that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the one and only true church and gospel of my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ on the earth today. I then decided that if I really wanted to know that it was true then I needed to pray to my Heavenly Father and ask him if Joesph Smith was a prophet. I prayed for almost 2 weeks to know if Joesph Smith saw God and Jesus Christ. Then one day why I was teaching about Joesph Smith I know that I was touched by the Holy Ghost and told that Joesph Smith was true and did see God the father and His son Jesus Christ. I know with all of my heart that Joesph Smith restored the Chruch of Jesus Christ on the earth in our time so that we had the truth. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and will change your life for the good as you read it. I know that Heavenly Father answers prayers and is there to help you make it through this life. I know that we have a prohpet on the earth to day and he is called to guide us as a people. I know that Heavenly Father will help you get through the trials of life and will also bless you. I know with all of my Heart that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true gospel of Jesus Christ on the earth. Pray and find out for yourself it it is ture.

How I live my faith

I love the gospel and will do whatever it takes to show my Heavenly Father that. The major way that I live my faith is by my example to those around me. I also am a ward missionary and help the full time misisonarires teach those that are intrested to learn more about the church, which is a complete joy for me, becasue I love teaching about the Gospel of Jesus christ. I hope that you are able to find the joy that you are looking for in your life. Promise that if you really pray wanting to know if the church is true Heavenly Father will witness to you that it is true by the power of the holy Ghost.

What is the First Vision?

As a boy, Joseph Smith was surrounded by various churches which, though they disagreed with on another, each claimed to teach the truth. This caused him much serious reflection. He wanted to know which church was right. One day he read a passage in the Bible which says, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not and it shall be given him” James 15. Joseph decided to accept the invitation to ask God. In the spring of 1820, Joseph went to a grove of trees near his home and prayed to learn which church he should join. In answer to his prayer, Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, appeared to him. Joseph wrote “When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other—This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!” Joseph was told to join none of the churches that existed at that time as the priesthood authority and Church as Jesus Christ had organized it when He was on the earth had been lost over the centuries. Joseph Smith’s First Vision marked the beginning of the Restoration of Jesus Christ’s Church to the earth. Joseph’s written account of this event is a powerful testimony of what he saw and experienced. Joseph Smith’s History chapter 1 verses 8-17. Show more Show less
