Hi I'm Jeff

I love music, I love seeing people change, I love the Chinese people, I'm an adopted Mackem and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I study Economics at University. I've been a big marching band fantatic since I was in high school.. I've played the clarinet since I was 12 years old. I played through Junior High, High School and into college. I love all sorts of genres of music. I also enjoy playing games, wether they be video games, board games, whatever. I love anything that gives my mind a challege to overcome. I served two years in the England Leeds Mission, teaching the students from China studying in the UK.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member because I knew that there had to be a God. I refuse to believe that our existence in this world is just an accident. Jesus Christ organized his church in the New Testament but there was a falling away. Even though I was raised in the church, I didn't truly become converted until I was 16. Everyone makes mistakes, but when I truly felt the Lord's forgiveness for the first time it was the most wonderful and peaceful feeling. I can't describe it. I want others to be able to feel this as well. It's true happiness, not the kind that is temporary. I know that Jesus Christ lives and that he is the son of God. He came here to atone for us. He knows that life in this day and age is hard, but he has given us a way to be happy. He loves us so much that he took upon himself all of our pains, sorrows, sicknesses and afflictions. The Book of Mormon is all about Jesus Christ, from beginning to end. It and the Bible stand together as a witness of the divinity of Jesus Christ. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's church, the very same church that He organized in the New Testament. You can know for yourself. Read the Book of Mormon. Ponder its message and ask God if it's true. If you do it sincerely, I promise you will know of the truth also.

How I live my faith

This church is most definetely not a once a week deal. It's something you live day after day. I live my faith by being an example to others, sharing my beliefs.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Jeff
The Book of Mormon is a collection of writings of Prophets of God who lived and dwelt on the American continent from approximately 600 BC to AD 400. It began with the writings of Nephi and concluded with the writings of Moroni. It also contains a short account of another civilization that came earlier. Like the Bible, it was written by many people not just one man. It is called the Book of Mormon because of an ancienct prophet, Mormon. He abridged his people's writings and gave it to his son, Moroni. This same Moroni led Joseph Smith to the gold plates' whereabouts and he translated it into the English language. It is the Word of God. I know it because God has told me that it is. Show more Show less
