Hi I'm Scott

I live in the wonderful state of Colorado and have a beautiful wife and son. Life is good.

About Me

I am a young, active, outgoing person who loves to do anything outside. Being raised my whole life in Colorado I am always ready to go on a hike, rock climb, dirt bike, fish, camp, backpack, or climb a "14er" (14,000 ft. mountain). I am also a person who loves to see how things work. I enjoy building, repairing, and installing whatever i can get my hands on. Me and my family currently live in Colorado and we love it. It has brought us great joy to be in such a beautiful area. I am a salesman for a body armor company and love what I do. My wife teaches a music class at home for nearby children.

Why I am a Mormon

Why wouldn't I be a Mormon?! For some reason there is an emotion of absurdness from people not of the Mormon faith when they hear the word "Mormon". To be frank with you, being Mormon is the reason I am the way i am and the reason how i act today. My unbreakable and immovable faith in my Lord Jesus Christ is the core and center of my religion, life, and is the source of my happiness. I was baptized when i was 8 years-old. All 8 year-olds know the difference between right and wrong. But not all 8 year-olds know the REAL reason they do things sometimes. I was one of "those" 8 year-olds. I've always known the church was true. Just from the fact of raising me that way. But it is my belief that we are all converts in some point in our lives. My real conversion came when i was 14 years-old. I still remember it like it was yesterday. I had been told several weeks earlier by a priesthood leader to read and pray about the Book of Mormon (the biggest difference between the "Mormon" religion and others). I had prayed about it before but had never felt anything special. But this time was different. I was standing up on the left side of the sacrament table (where the bread and water are blessed) and a little before the priest was about to say the prayer i was thinking about the Book of Mormon and Joseph's vision. Then all of the sudden it just hit me! I felt the most powerful feeling of happiness, shock, and amazement i had ever felt in my entire life. It was then that i was a true convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I had my struggles and hard times like everyone else. I made (and am still making) my fair share of mistakes but since that time i have stayed true to the gospel and have always known without a doubt that this was the only true and living church with the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is only one 100% true church. God is a God of order. It is our duty to find that church.

How I live my faith

I have had many callings in the church. All have been fantastic! They have helped me grow stronger while learning more about myself and about Christ. I have a better understanding of service and am now actively involved in helping others and being of service to them whenever possible, not just in church or for the church. I love to help people. Sometimes that is hard and sometimes it is very easy to do. The gospel of Jesus Christ is not easy and never was meant to be. It takes courage, faith, perseverance and love. I love the gospel and the blessings it brings to my life.

In whom should we have faith?

We should have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is our judge, our guide and our Savior who atoned for our sins. He knows our strengths and our weaknesses. If we have faith in him we cannot fail. Show more Show less
