Hi I'm Paul

I grew up in Idaho on a farm, as a family we grew potatoes, wheat, and sheep cattle. I have been a Mormon all my life.

About Me

Retired former business owner. I love to read, travel, and I enjoy the cultures and history of people from around the world. My wife and I have experenced the history of many wonderfull people throughout the world. Service to others is the key to fnding happiness. I love the mountains, valleys and different seasons of the world.. Watching my precious children grow into wonderfull adults and bring many beautiful Grandchildren into my life has been an amanzing journey. Mostly, I love God for giving me the days of my life and the Savior for the plan of salvation that brings great peace into my life and the life of my family. I am a former business owner, a proud Dad, a Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, a husband, and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I grow up in the church thinking that I would live a normal Mormon live. It was when I went on a mission to Hawaii at age 19 that I first discovered that before you can teach a principle of truth you must beleive it and live it. A week into my mission knocking on doors, walking in the rain, wearing our suits and an ugly hat that I hated and working with a companion who drove me crazy I started thinking what am I doing here? I could be home, going to collage, dating a certain girl I liked and doing the things I loved. It was at that time for the first time in my life that I needed to know for myself about the truth of the church. Later in the day as we stoped at a church building to dry out I found a private place and knelt in prayer for an answer. Yes, I had prayed many time in the past but never like this, I needed to know if the chuirch was true. The answer came to me as a strong warm feeling. It came so strong that I got up and looked around to see if my missionary compansion had called me from another room. He was still drying his coat off in another area. That experence changed my life. For the first time I really came to know the Gospel of Jusus Christ was true. I have never been the same and have never looked back. As a missionary my focus became more intense, more caring and I became a more loving person as all doubts disappeared.. Fifty years later I look back at this being one my life's turning point. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I`ve served in many positions in my church including serving many years with the youth. I also served in several leadership positions, and serviced10 years in the Temple. As a youth of 19 I serviced a year mission and over the past few years served two senior missions with my wife in the southern states. I enjoy being part of the politicial process in both the community and in the nation. I beleive God gave us the right to help preserve our freedoms by staying politialy active. Families are the most important institution in the world. I tried to taught my family Christ like values and to trust in and live God`s will.
