Hi I'm Linda Miller

I'm a Graphic Designer. I live in Centreville, VA and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

They say if you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life. My parents always inspired my siblings and I to be creative in music and art when we were growing up. Mom and I would make puppets when I was in elementary school and perform puppet shows together for the entire school. I learned that I could make up wonderful stories and put them into scripts. I also learned illustration from my mother and was inspired to get into photography by my father and brother. Additionally, I wrote for the school newspapers in High School. On the musical side, my father started me with piano lessons when I turned seven. I learned that I could not only read music, but improvise, and write my own tunes and lyrics. Then I joined Chorus in school and learned that I could sing. That lead me to learn guitar and from there I organized singing groups as a teenager. We performed all over the county representing 4-H. When you build talents, you'll find that one good thing usually leads to another. I also learned that I had to narrow my choices in order to make a living. I gravitated to Graphics Design. And that's been my life's work every since.

Why I am a Mormon

How many Gods do you know that would give their life for mankind? Christ did that for us. So we must be important to Him. There is no greater love than that. My Church has taught me to turn to my Heavenly Father, His Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit for guidance in every facet of my life. Our Heavenly Father and Christ created the heavens and the earth. We all enjoy his creations everyday and find meaning in them. It's actually quite natural for a child to follow his/her parent and take after them. Just as we take after our parents, we are also take after our Heavenly Father as well. He loves all His children, and I'm convinced that he wants the very best for all of us in this life and in the next. I believe that Christ suffered in the garden to atone for our sins so that we may all repent and be forgiven, and learn to forgive. I also believe that he died for us on the cross and was resurrected so that we too may overcome death and be resurrected.

How I live my faith

It's important to me to stay close to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ by attending Sacrament Meetings and taking the sacrament. The sacrament helps me to appreciate how Christ suffered to atone for my sins and how he gave his life for me, a sinner. After all of that, he gave us the greatest user manual--the scriptures--to get through this earthly estate. He listens to our prayers. If we listen to Him, he will answer. He gave us the commandments to love one another and take care of each other. He also lets us learn from our mistakes; a very difficult thing for parents to do. He teaches humility, the healing art, how to be a peacemaker. But most of all, He teaches us to strive to have charity. Charity is the pure love of Christ. May charity be found in all of us.
