Hi I'm Jennifer

I have 4 daughters, 6 grandchildren and have been married to the same man for 33 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love cooking for my family. I like to try new recipes. My husband and I are empty nesters (sort of) and our family hobby is growing our own food. My other hobbies are going grocery shopping and sharing family stories. I like to exercise every morning with my friends. We swim and walk in the water and on the land. I do yoga at home. I am trying to lose weight. I am blogging about it with 4 other friends. My husband and I like to hold hands and walk. Being an empty nester is fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church. It has always been my foundation. I love to read and ponder my scriptures. I love to study them. I like to talk to my family and friends about the things that I am learning. I wake up in the morning and can't wait to get to my friends in the scriptures. I am excited and happy about knowing who I am and where I am going. I like being part of a ward family and contributing the gifts and talents that I have been blessed with. I like to look at the things around me and draw spiritual parallels. I learn so much about my testimony when I am out in my garden. I am grateful to know about the plan of happiness. I know I lived with my Father in Heaven before this life. I know that I am here to learn and grow by faith and I know that because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ my family and I can live with our Heavenly Father when we leave this earth. I

How I live my faith

I am a provident living specialist in my ward. What that means is that I get to share information that I have learned about living within our means, continuing to educate ourselves, gardening and grocery shopping, and having a savings and spending plan with other women in my ward. It's a big topic and there is a lot of interest right now in making do with less. I am also a ordinance worker at the Seattle temple.
