Hi I'm Nancy

I grew up in Colorado. Never hearing or knowing anything about the Mormons until I came to college. Now I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports. Anything active and outside I love to do or try. I'm an adventurous person looking for new and exciting opportunities. I have run track and field for 12 years and now I am helping coach high school athletes. I'm currently going to college studying sports medicine. I also love traveling and wish to see the wonderful world we live in, meeting new people, seeing new cultures, and finding new places.

Why I am a Mormon

When I came to college I learned many new things about the world around me. One of the things that I learned was about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I never knew much about the Mormons so I was curious to see what they believed and if what I heard others say about them was true or not. I began meeting with the Sister missionaries and was fascinated with the message they shared with me. I felt something more at this church than I had anywhere else. Just a big, warm, happy feeling that something here was true. I began to read the Book of Mormon and continued to learn. And then I prayed... a lot. It didn't come to me right away but as my testimony of the Church began to grow I realized that I could never deny the way I felt or the things I was taught. I committed to be baptized a member of the Church after 4 months of questions, tears, laughter, and joy. This is the best decision I have ever made and I have found so much joy and hope in this gospel that has carried me through and raised me up.

How I live my faith

My faith is not just a Sunday activity. I try to do my best to live the way I know I have the potential to live. I participate in many church activities focusing on strengthening others as well as myself. I do my best to serve others and show charity to those who need a friend.
