Hi I'm Christy

I am from Spokane, Washington. I am a wife and a mommy. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a born and raised Spokane, WA girl! Life has moved pretty fast for me the last few years. My husband and I got married in April of 2010. We lost a baby that following January but were shortly after blessed with another pregnancy that has recently brought us the birth of our son, Payson. Prior to his birth I was a phlebotomist for three years at a plasma donation center, but have decided to become a stay at home mom! And I love it! Sometimes I feel like a kid pretending to be an adult, and I still love to have a good time. I love warm weather. If it weren't for my husband doing his schooling up here right now, we'd be living on St. George, Utah where all his family is and it's warm all year! Can't wait for that chapter of our lives! But for now we enjoy spending time with my family here in Spokane, and spending time outdoors during the summer, and of course enjoying being new parents to our precious little guy!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is what has proven to be the most satisfying and rewarding thing in my life. Before I joined the church when I was 15, I didn't know much about religion. It wasn't until I started going to the church that I realized what I was missing in my life. I felt the love God has for me every time I was at church, and I saw my LDS friends around me feeling that love constantly. I wanted to have that feeling with me constantly as well so I started investigating the church more and a year later was baptized and received the Holy Ghost. People question how you can believe in something that you can not see or touch. But I feel the love God has for me everyday of my life. I see the blessings I have been given such as my husband, my job, even just a friend being there right when I needed one most, and I can not deny that God knows me individually and cares for me. Our church isn't just a religion, it is a life style. I know without a doubt that this church is true and that by making good choices we will have the opportunity to live with God again. When I was investigating the church, one thing always stood out to me...everything just makes sense. It fits together like a puzzle and I have never had a question go unanswered. This is why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

It's not just a religion, it's a life style. Faith is something that we work on every day! It's in the little every day decisions to do the right thing that we develop a better relationship with God.
