Hi I'm Adrienne

I'm a college student, I love music and politics, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently in college studying Public Policy and Documentary Studies. with a minor in French. I love politics, music, and fashion and I am addicted to reading blogs in each of those categories. I have worked for the Florida Democratic Party and I currently work on local North Carolina campaigns. I'm obsessed with music and going to concerts. I also DJ for the college radio station in Durham.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because even in times of immense trial and grief, I find many reasons to be outrageously happy. Those reasons are derived from the gospel of Jesus Christ. As a child of two converts, I see contention among my family members that don't have the gospel in their lives and it gives me the perspective to know how lucky I am to have it. Families are our most precious blessings on this earth, and through the church I can have a happy and loving family for all of eternity. Recently my father was diagnosed with colon cancer. Not once have I ever felt sad, stressed, or worried. The gospel has led me to replace fear with faith. "And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true for the Lord God hath spoken it." Mosiah 241

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving those in the area of need through the Compassionate Service program. I love what unity and fellowship the members in North Carolina are showing me as a new college student. Being able to attend church activities and learn about the gospel each week really helps me incorporate precious the doctrines and teachings of the church into every decision I make whether it be personal, political, or spiritual.
