Hi I'm Phil

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

What can I say; Father of 5 beautiful kids, in which I spend much of my free time developing into great individuals. Having children of your own help you to teach them what to do, how to, and what not to do. One other thing, with the responsibility of bring up our children properly, they help us to remember the good things of being a kid. Like this spring when my son wanted a birthday party that involved catching frogs and tadpoles, along with a few turtles. We had a great deal of fun. I love my children, and the love of my life- My wife Anne. Working in contruction has given me another reason for being Thankful for all that I have.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? One night as a single parent I was walking up the stairs after a very busy day. I had this calming feeling going up the stairs that things are just fine, and getting better. The phone rang. A friend was on the phone, she asked me to write down this number of someone she worked with. I did. I called her and set up a blind date. On the date she stated she was lds AND ASKED IF i WANTED TO KNOW HER BETTER i NEED TO READ THE BOOK OF MORMON. On the second date, I received the Book. Having a reading disability as a child I started to read this book, slow then better. I noticed a change in my reading skills and a desire to know more. The Book of Mormon put confidence back into my life. Got married, went to school, felt the spirit working in all aspects of my life. I have never wished to not be a member ever since joining the Church. My parents and Family did not like what I did at first, but accepted the facts. Then they have seen the change in my life. They knew things are better! Ever felt something was true, That God lives, Jesus Christ is his Son and our older brother. That the Holy spirit can help you in your life, as it has in mine!! Let me share this with you a testimony of Jesus Christ and the Book of Mormon! It is true; Jesus is the Christ and head of our church. The Book of Mormon is true. That if you have never read it and prayed about it as in James 1:5-6, then you cannot get a testimony of it as well as if you did. A Testimony is like an empty glass- you will never get anything out of it if you put nothing into it. And this I say in the Sacred name of Jesus Christ, Amen

How I live my faith

I work with Priesthood Groups in better organizing their thoughts and actions in bring forth the Gospel to all of those in their Ward boundaries. I also serve by being the Stake physical facilities representative, bye making sure the buildings are being kept up to a Christ Like standard, so all those that enter may feel the spirit. i also, help out in Sunday School, Primary when needed. I also, help out with the Boy scouts, over Advancement help organize our scout program to help the Young Men, Parents, and Committee members in their roles and how they can help themselves, each other, and better the program. Home Teaching brings joy into my house when I invite them all over for some fun activities, fireside chats, and just being friends!
