Hi I'm Emily

I live in Arizona. I taught school for 5 years but now I stay home with my 2 little girls. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in California and live there until the age of 12. My family moved to Arizona to be closer to my father's family. I attended a wonderful little community college in Southeastern Arizona where I met my wonderful husband. We have been married for almost 9 years and have 2 beautiful little girls and another baby on the way! I taught 5th grade for 5 years and am now a stay at home mom and am loving every minute of it!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS home and raised by faithful parents. That doesn't mean I didn't have to gain a testimony of my own and decide for myself whether or not the church was true. I read the scriptures and fervently prayed for answers and gained my own testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am just like any other person that gets caught up in the daily stresses of life. I have to constantly take a step back and re-evaluate my life and my daily, as well as long term, goals. When I am doing the "little things" such as reading scriptures and saying daily prayer, everything else seems to fall into place as it should. It makes my job as a wife and mother easier, as well as my calling in the church. I am part of the Primary Presidency, which is the youth organization in the church. We are responsible for teaching the children the basic principles of the Gospel. It is such a rewarding experience to see the children start to gain their own testimonies. It also helps strengthen my testimony as a I prepare lessons and have the opportunity to share my testimony with them.
