Hi I'm Nikki

I grew up in Idaho. I am a Registered Nurse and a wife and mother of five children. I have traveled to Europe with youth.

About Me

I like to hike in the mountains with my family. I am a wife and mother of five children, ranging in age from 8 years to 22 years. I am also a Registered Nurse and work part-time at a small hospital where I work in the Emergency Room, Geriatrics, Pediatrics and every patient in between. I enjoy cooking, digital scrapbooking, cross country skiing, sewing and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I am one of those people who have been blessed to be born into and raised in a loving home, where my parents were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have ancestors who came from England, Wales and France to America for religious freedom and good moral values. I was baptized a member when I was eight. I have always felt the Lord's spirit guiding my life, directing me in what I should be doing. My family and I are very happy. As we have strived to live the restored Gospel in it's fullness, we are blessed to be able to handle our trials better, and to work together to be a forever family. We have two children serving full-time missions for the Church. They are willing to go out for 18 months for our daughter, and our son for 2 years to spread the good news of the restored Gospel with anyone who wants to listen and know more.

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving as the leader of Women 18 and older in our geographical (ward) boundaries in our valley. We recently organized a Picnic out side at one of the members' beautiful garden. We ate yummy food and played a game to get to know each other better. We also have lessons on Sunday that help us be better wives, moms, daughters, sisters and community members. All that we do in the Gospel helps us to come closer to Jesus Christ. The majority of women in our church group are assigned to visit three or four other women in the group every month. They each have a partner assigned to them.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Nikki
We definitely believe the Bible to be the word of God. We study the King James version of the Bible, along with our Book of Mormon and other Holy scriptures. Our family learns a lot from the stories in the Bible. We read the scriptures, including the Bible, almost every day, alone and as a family. The scriptures keep us close to Heavenly Father.
