Hi I'm Tamra

I grew up in Southern California. I am a mother. I love to dance and play the harp. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Some things that I enjoy are dancing, playing the harp, cooking and baking, cycling, hiking, Pilates, and playing games with my husband and friends. Ballet has been very close to my heart and has brought me a lot of joy since I was a young girl. I studied Dance Science in college. I enjoyed learning about the human body; the many abilities of the human body have always fascinated me. This led me to my interest in Pilates and also to Nursing school. I am a Registered Nurse. I enjoy nursing because it gives me opportunities to help people and it also provides an environment where I am always learning. I have been married for about 5 1/2 years to a wonderful man and we have a son. I feel very blessed to be a mother; it is a gift and I feel honored to play a special role in God's plan.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my faith gives my life here on earth meaning. I know who I am as a daughter of God. I know what my purpose is here on the earth. I know my Heavenly Father loves me and has provided a plan for me to return to Him someday with my family. I know my Heavenly Father watches over me and my family and guides my life; He cares. Being a mormon has helped me establish a solid foundation in this hectic, confused world. Christ's gospel provides me with direction, comfort, peace, safety, and joy. I have found that living the standards that Jesus has given makes for a very happy life. My faith in the Savior helps me through trials in life. I feel blessed to know that I can turn to Jesus Christ whenever I need to. Since my Heavenly Father gave His son to be the ultimate sacrifice, I know that Christ understands my every pain and trial. This knowledge reminds me that there is always someone who understands me and can walk me through hard times because He has experienced it. I choose to be a Mormon because it provides meaning to my life and enriches my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday. I enjoy singing in the various choirs there. I enjoy music and feel closer to God and Jesus Christ when I sing. I get to teach the Primary children (ages 3 to 11 years old) the Primary songs at church. I love spending time with the children. They are so sweet and I feel the Spirit of God closer to me when I am around them and when I hear them sing. I also live my faith by attending the temple. The temple has provided me with the greatest blessing of my life, my sealing to my husband. Attending the temple often reminds me of the blessing of eternal families and God's plan for me. I love having a place to go where I feel safe and where I feel very close to God. I can feel His spirit there.
